Tutorial How to get permanent Themes on current Firmware (5.55)

I don't know if it's already known - I've not seen anything about this yet. But it is at least something 5.55 user can do now.

BEFORE YOU BEGIN: This is probably not that useful right now - unless you have two PS4s, one with fw 5.05 (and have an PSN account on it) and one with fw 5.55. It will still work if you only have one PS4 with fw 5.55, but you won't be able to connect to PSN on the user with your desired theme.

There are some additional downsides:

• You'll lose all your previous data on your 5.55 console. So backup first if you want to try it!
• Only one theme works - if you want to change it, you'll have to redo the install process (with another theme)

[On 5.05] 1. Create your theme restore data (skip if you only have a 5.55 ps4):

1. On your 5.05 console install your desired permanent theme. Make sure it works (reboot), and leave it active!
2. Go to [Settings] - [System] - [Back Up and Restore] - [Back Up PS4]. Select the Themes box and click next. Don't include any games - they won't work unless official.
3. Choose back up and wait until it finishes.

[On 5.55] 2. Restore your theme data

1. Connect your USB Device and back up your Data! Atleast your save data - If the PSN accounts are the same on both consoles you can restore it afterwards.
2. Go to [Settings] - [System] - [Back Up and Restore] - [Restore PS4] and choose the backup data you created in step 1 (or the theme data below). Click restore!
3. You now have a permanent theme on 5.55 without buying it on PSN! Just remember not to change in the themes menu.
